The plan de jour (remember cruising means no schedule) is to take the weather window starting tomorrow afternoon and sail through the night, bypassing Destin and going straight to Panama City. But who knows where we will land......

Mardi Gras
We have missed (avoided) Mardi Gras celebrations along the coast for the past few weeks but when the parade happens a block from the marina it's just too close to pass up. It's a wonder the island didn't sink for all the bumper-to-bumper traffic. Drunk drivers were no problem, since cars were moving slower than pedestrians. The dirty old men on the floats tried to entice young ladies into lewd acts but although I kept an eagle eye out I did not see anyone having to work for moonpies or beads. Perhaps it was a bit too cool and breezy.

I hope you two have some beads to show. Are you taking the ICW or Gulf on the trip to Panama City?
