Back in downtown Miami we rode the free downtown people mover. It runs above ground and at one point was at least 60 feet above street level. It was a great tour of downtown and we marked a couple stops for a return trip and places to explore in more detail.
In our own neighborhood - Coconut Grove - is every shopping, gallery, and dining possibility required by your average millionaire. All within a few blocks of the marina.

Looks like you caught "Snow Goose" sailing by! Heard that you are enjoying Dinner Key, and hope that you are taking advantage of some "shallow water sailing" in Biscayne Bay!
Hi guys! We decided to follow in your footsteps: and sort of ended up being towed into Miami. I'm beginning to think we're never going to get across the Gulf stream! Anyway, I'm going to try and find that people mover you're talking about since we'll be stuck here for awhile.
Kittywake out.
We loved "no name harbor" another great spot!
