The crew at Turner Marine had it on stands within 20 minutes of arrival. De Anne did a quick inventory and declared everything safe and sound.
We spent the next few days re-installing hardware, davits, solar panel, mast, boom, and lines. De Anne cleaned strap marks and waxed the hull. She did find time to visit several cruisers. One German couple on a huge catamaran, and a British couple on a ferro-cement boat were in to have their masts stepped after coming in from the Great Circle loop. She also met a man from Atlanta who is leaving at the end of the month on an east-to-west circumnavigation. We may meet up with the British couple in the Bahamas. Their ferro-cement boat will not be hard to pick out at a distance - it is green hulled with orange and white trim and looks like a pirate ship with carved wooden rails and posts and lots of rat lines leading up the two masts.
The fitting out went so quick and smooth we decided to spend a few days in Atlanta visiting family.
