With apologies to the Little River Band it is "Time for a cool change..."
This weekend we pulled our Freedom 32 sailboat, Rising Star, from Lake Monroe for the final time. Everything is stowed for shipping. Next Friday the mast is unstepped (nautical for removing) and the following Monday (October 27th) the shipper arrives to haul our retirement home/boat to Mobile Bay.
We said goodbye to friends at LMSA last week and then again to friends on D dock at the Fourwinds marina this weekend.
We hope to keep up with everyone, but have patience! The next couple months of retiring, training my replacement, moving the boat, getting rid of 99.9% of our worldly possessions, and generally creating an entirely new way of life may keep us preoccupied.
